LAMKA, May 10: The ugly incidents of hate messages witnessed in the last few days revisited CCpur today with a bundle of paper scribbled with communal words being found again at the border between two localities inhabited by two different ethnic communities Khumuzamba at Lamka today even as residents of the district are wondering over the identity of the trouble makers and their motivations.

Pamphlets numbering around 118 in number and bearing slogans like “….go back from…. land”, “We want war with you“ etc were found in the said locality.

Many of the locals said that the paper scraps was left at the road side and found scattered by the wind.

Eyewitness said that around the same time they saw an Activa Scooter with its number plates plastered with egg trays speeding away from the scene.

A young man, Bisorjit born and brought up at Lamka said that he is in a state of confusion as several organizations of the district from various communities had assured that they will not allow such incidents again in the district on one hand while the pamphlets still continue to make their appearance.

In the same breath he said he is  not sure about the real culprit or who will be behind the sinister act, and added that this current  incident has been orchestrated by  anti-social elements.

Another CCpur resident Shyam echoed the same thought  and said that certain people may be behind the paper trail.

On being asked if he was scared, he said there was nothing to fear as he is a true denizen of Lamka town and added if the culprits are found than it is sure that the people of the town would not let them off easily.

On inquiry about the security in the aftermath of the hate messages, Bisorjit said that the last time around following the complaint, there was security arrangements in the form of 8 police personnel keeping watch for one day but he added, “things went back to square one and the security angle is a concern. ”

Interestingly, the pamphlets found circulated were written on a better paper quality leading to people in the town surmising that there may be some sort of financial support behind the current mischief.

It may be mention that today`s incident has come on the heels of the Joint Philantrophic Organization (JPO) in CCpur which include HYA, KKL, YMA and ZWA issuing a press release yesterday where they strongly condemned the May 7 incident at New Bazaar urging the people of all communities to co-exist in peace and harmony in the district of CCPur.
