MOREH, May 7: The All Community Development Organization, Moreh and WDO, Moreh jointly organized a Horticulture Awareness Programme at the Conference hall of the Moreh Trade Centre as part of the Horticulture Mission for North East & Himalayan States on May 6.
ADC Robert Kshetrimayum handed over the seeds of rocker red kidney beans, Bhindi, Brinjals, Chilli, Cucumber and water melon to the meira paibis, and other participants.
Speaking as the resource person, Central Agricultural University, Associate professor Dr Kh Ibohal said there is a need for proper verification of the items related to the Horticulture department being brought into the state.
There is the need to check how much beneficial the products brought in from Moreh, Jiribam and other places are, he said before adding that it needs to be properly check otherwise it will be harmful for the people of the state.
The state government should implement a proper policy to check the products, he said.
