IMPHAL, May 29: Kangleipak Loinasillon Apunba Marup (KLAM) is organising a state level Meiteilon words competition on July 7, 2013. The sample question of the competition would be like Khunnai-samaj, ekon-pukhri etc. 500 old Meiteilon words will be asked at the competition which the participants have to answer with own words without mix language (((lonyan))).
A statement of KLAM said the winners of the competition will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 5000, 3000 and 2000 for first, second and third positions respectively along with certificates and consolation prizes of Rs 500 each for 4th to 10 position holders.
The prizes will be distributed in the birth anniversary celebration of Hijam Anganghal on July 28, 2013. Competition forms are available at the office of KLAM at Nityananda Complex, MEELAL office and Manipur Press Club from May 20 to July 6, 2013.
