IMPHAL, May 10: An unidentified non Manipuri was found dead with his throat slit possibly with a shape weapon along the banks of Imphal River some 1 and half kilometre away from Sapermeina police station today morning at around 7 am. The dead body has now been deposited at the morgue of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences for verification.
The body was found local passersby near a bridge of the Imphal river on the inter village road of the Kangpokpi to Saikhul road. Sources say that the deceased looks around 27 to 30 years of age, 5ft 4inch tall and wearing a pair of jeans and a green checked full shirt.
Police have taken up a case regarding the incident.
