IMPHAL, May 27: Incensed over an alleged case of a 2 yr minor girl being raped by a 16 year old boy, locals of Heirok part 1 Heituppokpi area under Thoubal district dismantled the house of the boy today.
According to sources, the accused who is also under age is a neighbour of the minor girl and allegedly raped her in his house.
The incident happened yesterday at around 4 pm when the accused came to the house of the girl when no one was present at the house except for the mother of the 2 yr old who was doing the kitchen garden. Saying that he was taking the child to play with her, the boy took her away to his own house. Half an hour later, the girl started to cry out loud hearing which the mother went to the boy`s house only to find her daughter without her clothes.
At night time when the child refused to got to sleep and was unable to pass urine, the mother checked her daughter`s private parts and seeing them damaged took her to the community health centre at Heirok on the same night for check up yesterday night. The CHC Heirok then referred the minor girl to RIMS where a medical examination was conducted the same night. Hearing the developments, angry locals of the area gathered and dismantled the house of the minor boy accused in the incident around 11 pm.
The family of the accused minor in the case has meanwhile filed a police complaint that their house was destroyed by the residents of their locality.
The medical report of the minor girl has confirmed that the minor girl child was sexually molested.
