22nd Conference of Manipur Loumee Marup begins at Changangei

    IMPHAL, June, 15: The inaugural function of the two days conference of the 22nd Manipur Loumee Marup was today begun at Changangei, Imphal West in which many delegates from different parts of Manipur were participating.

    On the inaugural function, the secretary of the All India Kisan Sabha, Nurul Hooda, ex MP has unfurled its flag, said a press release of Manipur Loumee Marup.

    While giving his introductory speech, Bajuban Riyang, MP has talked about the awful condition of the farmers, the humiliating condition of the general people and the economic backwardness of the state despite its annual funding of a sizeable amount from the central government and further said that all these situations was the result of the political indifference and decaying of the society in all sphere by corruption. Such an unwanted condition could only be prevented by strengthening farmers’ movement, it said.

    The secretary of Manipur Loumee Marup has tabled his report and a discussion was also made on it, it further said.
