IMPHAL, June 24: A PRO IGAR (N) statement has said that on June 23at around 5:30 am, 29 Assam Rifles in a joint Operation with the Dimapur Police apprehended a Dy Kilonser of NSCN (IM) from Chikeya village, Dimapur.
The statement identified the arrested militant as Thronglise Sangtam and said, one 5.56mm HK Rifle with two magazines, one .22 pistol magazine, 76 rounds of 5.56mm caliber and tax collection receipts were recovered from him.
The individual was handed over to the Diphupar Police Station, Dimapur along with the recovered weapons & ammunition, it said.
