IMPHAL, June 12: The All Manipur Students Parents Guardian Organization has today claimed that the state Education Minister, Moirangthem Okendro has failed to comply with his assurance to provide admission to 500 seats in government Higher Secondary Schools for the admission of class XI till now.
Speaking to media persons during a press conference at AMSPGO office S Sumati, secretary of the All Manipur Students Parents guardian organisation (AMSPGO) said students belonging to poor families are facing lots of difficulties to get admission in Class XI.
She further said that in the government schools, the admissions forms cost Rs 150 which is too much for the poor students.
She said in consideration of the students from the poorer society, the prices of forms should be reduced or admission be conducted through the lottery or written test.

Sumati further asked the state MLAs to take up the issue in the ongoing session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly. She lastly appeal the concern education Minister Moirangthem Okendro to look into the matter.
