IMPHAL, June 11: The second day of the 5th Session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly witnessed the House unanimously approve the Governor’s Address presented on March 6 after a long deliberation.
The Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address was moved by Uripok MLA of the ruling party L Nandakumar Singh and was seconded by another MLA from the ruling party Dr Ng Bijoy Singh.
Clarifying on a move seeking amendment to the Governor’s Address from four MLAs including Opposition leader Dr I Ibohalbi Singh,the leader of the House, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh provided due clarification.
Following the clarification from the leader of the House, the opposition MLAs withdrew their move seeking amendment.
The House later unanimously approved the Governor’s Address.
