LAMKA, June 29: The Kuki Student Organisation (KSO) Henglep Sub-division CCpur today organized its 7th Felicitation Function for Class X and XII first divisioners in the board exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur.
Alltogether, 134 class X first divisioners including 78 boys and 56 girls and 123 class XII first divisioners with 141 boys and 116 girls were facilitated today with a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of Rs 1000 each.
The program was attended by Henglep MLA T Manga Vaiphei , the chairman of MTDC who also is the sponsor of the program.
Speaking at the function, the MLA also stressed the importance of consistency to the students and told them to take this momentum forward in their future and asked them to emulate the two IAS officers produce by the Henglep sub division.
From next year the pattern of felicitation functions will be changed in line with other districts, after consulting the student unions which have selected the best three or top ten among the successful students for the “meritorious award”.
Several dignitaries of the Henglep sub division including most of the MDCs of the sub division attended the function.
