IMPHAL, June 18: The House has passed the “Manipur Co-operative Societies (Fifth Amendment) Bills, 2013” moved by AK Mirabai Devi on the floor of the House during the last business of Manipur Legislative Assembly today.
When Minister AK Mirabai Devi tabled the Bill for the House pass after discussion, Opposition leader, MLA Dr I Ibohalbi Singh making his observation asked how far will the Bill benefit the co-operative societies and specially the people of Manipur.
Observations were also made in the House that adequate actions should be taken up to make people aware of the Bill.
Following a detailed clarification from the Chief Minister regarding Dr I Ibohalbi’s observations the “Manipur Co-operative societies (fifth Amendment) Bill, 2013” received the nod from the members of the House.
