KANGPOKPI, June 22: In yet another road mishap along NH-2, one Tata heading towards Imphal from Dimapur knocked down a man who subsequently died at the spot between Charhajaree and Damdei this morning at around 10 am.
Police identified the dead person as one Madhou Dahal (40), son of (L) Bishnu Lal of Damdei and has also established the vehicle as Tata truck bearing regd. no AS01 DC-8593.
The identity of the driver could not be ascertained till filing of this report.
Earlier on 19 June, one pillion rider died and while his companion was critically injured at Kanglatongbi in another road mishap.
