IMPHAL, June 14: A combined team of Imphal East commandos and 40 Assam Rifles arrested one PULP (MI Khan) cadre today at about 8:30 pm from Irilbung Bazar.
Police identified the arrested person as Md. Warish alias Rocky, 23, son of Md Islamuddin of Keirao Mang Makha.
On verification, he stated that he is an active member of PULP (MI Khan) and joined in the year 2006 through one Anish of Keirao and service as 325, the release said.
Further he stated that he along with his accomplish namely Inaocha alias Riaj of Keirao carry out extortion money from the general public of Keirao, Irilbung etc. and recovered one 9mm pistol marked “MADE IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. ARMY SUPPLY ONLY” with one magazine loaded with two live rounds and one mobile phone from his possession, the release added.
