IMPHAL, June 8: Road Side vendors welfare association has informed in a press note that a street vendors meeting will be held at Shri Shri Radha Govondaji Mandav, Uripok Tourangbam Leikai, Imphal on June 9 at 10: 00 a.m. The Association demanded formulation of policy of street vendors and adoption of resolution by raising it in the Assembly, provision of social security to street vendors, issue of I card to street vendors by Imphal Municipal Council with immediate effect, allowing street vendors to vend their wares at the empty spaces of three Khwairamban Ima Keithel buildings and at the northern side of the temporary market for rent, allotment of vending space to street vendors when the government constructs the 4th Khwairamban Keithel.
