IMPHAL, June 17: A press release from the Superintendent of Police, Imphal East District, Manipur said that a combine team of Imphal East CDO, 27 AR and 40 AR arrested a PREPAK (VC) over ground cadre namely, Thokchom Khaba Meitei, 42, son of (L) Th. Leibakmacha of Telou Maning Leikai from his residence on June 16 at about 03:30 am.
On verification he was found to be a member of PREPAK (VC) and as per further verification it came to light that a pistol was kept by one Naocha of PREPAK (VC) at the Nallah on the southern side of the house it informed before adding that the pistol was recovered at the instance of Th. Kahaba Meitei.
A separate press release of Superintedent of police, Imphal West District, Manipur said that on June 16 at 10:40 am and 3:50 pm, Imphal West Police commandos arrested two active members of PLA/RPF and one active member of KNF(N) from Takyel Khongbal and North AOC, Imphal respectively namely, Pangambam Roshan Singh, 22 son of P Anand Singh of Yairipok Keina (Poreikhongjing) (arrested from Takyel Khongbal), Laishram Naobicha alias Makung, 25 son of L Ingocha Singh of Heirok P-II Lalshram Leikai a/p Kwakeithel Heinou Khongnembi (arrested from Takyel Khongbal) and P Muoma Vaiphei alias Moun, 25 son of Phaltual Manga of Morel; Ward – 2. arrested from North AOC, Imphal.
