IMPHAL, July 28: A free distribution of aids and appliances to several differently abled persons organized by Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons (RCWDAP), Manipur in collaboration with ALIMCO, Guwahati was held today at Tera Sapam Leirak Gopaldev Mandop, Imphal.
Joyrani B, asst state co-ordinator, IED cell appealed to the beneficiaries to maintain and use properly the aids and appliances which were distributed.
She further said that the aids and appliances were brought to the state with the aim to bring equality between normal and differently abled persons.
Speaking at the function S Keba Singh, ex-MLA said that the family members should not discriminate or discourage differently abled persons.
The function was attended by ex-MLA, M Parisana Singh, ex-Zilla Parishad; Ch. Opendro Singh, president- RCWDAP; A. Deven, Social worker and N. Somorjit Singh, Social worker.
