IMPHAL, July 17: The All Manipur Students Union (AMSU) has today boycotted the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) in the state for its alleged involvement in instigating the barbers of the state to turn against the student body on the overcharging issue and failure to provide proper clarification, informed Romen Leishangthem, General secretary AMSU during a press conference at its office HQ today.

He further said the AMSU condemned the AITUC for trying to be amicable with both sides; before continuing that all involved in the issue should come and clarify before the student body at the earliest.

He further continued that a statement signed by AITUC vice president S Megha submitted to the AMSU had stated that the AITUC had never instigated that the barbers to go against the AMSU and that Papu Thakur of AMBA is lying.
