Chandel, July, 18: A joint crucial meeting of Chandel Autonomous District Council teachers with CNPO and NCAC has strongly rejected the explanation call affected to about 201 ADC Chandel teachers and a show caused notice served to about 7 ADC Chandel teachers thereby demanding the immediate withdrawal of the same by the concerned authority saying that the Inspection carried out by the official team is bias and the report made out of the inspection is encroached and has discrepancies which need to be rectified before taking up such stern and unruly step.

Speaking to the media during the press meet held after the meeting participated by about 130 teachers of ADC Chandel, General secretary of CNPO and convener of the meeting BD Betha said that today’s meeting was organized jointly by CNPO and NCAC as the teachers’ association had requested them to hold a meeting in connection with the ADC Chandel Chairman notification No. 4/33/ADC-CDL/83-EDN (Pt. II).

He informed that the meeting had strongly denounced the absence of DI of ADC Chandel DK Moshilpha who in advance of the  meeting was summoned  to appear in the meeting  today for giving clarification on the bias and discrepancies showing inspection prepared. He went on to say that the second part of the inspection was carried out in the time when there was already summer vacation of the school. And the inspection was also carried out without the prior information and concern of the respective AIs and DIs he alleged.

Terming the time and nature of the report as ‘unsuitable’ and ‘inconsistent’, Betha said, ‘ Some teachers have been living outside of states  and have been out of station for some reasons or others, However in the inspection report they are marked as present and as such no explanation call is served. On the other hand, those teachers who are regular in duties have to face explanation call”, he added.

Referring to a statement made available in the meeting, Betha also said that three inspection officials inspected Phunchung Primary School after 4:00 pm when the school was over and noted that there were only 6 students out of 15 students who are attending schools regularly. Similarly the official teams inspected Lampho Charu primary school after 3:30 pm. whereas the official team noted 2:30 pm as the time of their inspection in the inspection record.

The press meet was also attended by NCAC president Ws Angthung, ANTA president Wng Victor Kohring, vice-preident CNPO Angdun Maring,  jt secretary of NCAC Lovesong, information secretary NCAC  Solomon and general secretary NCAC Marim Chothe.
