IMPHAL, July 14: The Tourangbam Leikai Youth Club (TLYC), Heirok Part III today organised a one day sensitization program on quality education at the premises of the club.
During the function, various prizes to meritorious students of the locality, TLYC old aged pension and Yaoshang Sports 2013 prize winners were distributed.
During the function, D Gaithaongam, State Project Officer of SSA said that education is a right for every child and it can’t be avoided in any case.
He further informed the gathering to write complaints regarding non availability of educational facilities under RTE provision while adding that there will be quality education if a child could grow in all respect.
Furthermore, T Padamakhya, ZEO Kakching has expressed his view on quality education saying that well furnishing school building and right location, a group of qualified teachers and above all, good governance are necessary criteria for quality education. In addition of this, maintaining sincerity on the part of the teachers and discipline on the part of students are also necessary.
The chief guest of the function, Sh Harimohon Sharma observed the importance of the social norms while discussing for quality education adding that the govt has given more emphasis on education by introducing new systems.
He further said that a quality education is attainable only when the system goes on the right path.
Harimohon added that the truth for quality education purely lies on the sincerity of those who are spearheading it while further commenting that most of the system and policy does not get desired result thereby demanding a relook or modification. At the same time, there is disturbance due to shortage of fund allocation, he said.
Later on, there was meritorious award distribution to the various students who scored high marks in the BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE exams 2013 within the jurisdiction of the Club and also distribution of TLYC old aged pension of Rs 100 each which was started from the month of February of the year.
