Father appeals for missing son

IMPHAL, July 7: Addressing a press conference at the Manipur Press Club, M Ibotomba of Bashikhong Kitanapanung said that his 13 year old school going son has failed to return after going out for his morning walk on July 4 around 5:30am.

M Ibotomba  said his son Mutum Nongpoknganba alias Naoba (13) had left home wearing a pair of jeans and sandal and has failed to return home ever since.

He said, Naoba is a student of Standard Robert School, Canchipur.

Recounting the events of the morning that his son failed to return ever since, he said that after his failure to return from his morning walk even till 7am, their family members continued to search for him,  to no avail.

The family members informed the local club of Bashikhong and a massive manhunt for the missing boy was launched with the help of the club members and locals, he told media persons but no one seemed to have come across him on the fateful morning, the father lamented.

Later, the club volunteers along with the family members registered an FIR with the Irilbung police over his missing son, the same day around 4pm, he continued.

Meanwhile, the father has also appealed to all to help him find his missing son.

Secretary of the Meiraa Club who was also present during the press meet also appealed to all to hand over the missing child to the family members or to the club.
