KANGPOKPI, July 17: The Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills today vehemently condemned the July 13 Champhai incident in which Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) home secretary Seikhohao Khongsai alias Marwin and his family members were heavily attacked by unknown assailants resulting in instant death of Seikhohao Khongsai alias Marwin and the subsequent death of his daughter Zoukim Khongsai who succumbed to her bullet injury while causing serious injuries to two other family members.
Thanglet Chongloi, Jt. secretary Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills said that the Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills condemns the action in the strongest term whosoever may be the assailants.
Such inhuman and barbaric act has no place in today`s civilized world and among peace enthusiasm peoples.
He further noted that the civil organizations, the public and the Kuki populace in particular have witnessed enough bloodshed amongst the brothers in arms and in between many innocent civilian lives had also gone in vain since many years back while adding that if the unfortunate July 13 Champhai incident happens to be a factional clash amongst the armed groups, KISH fervently appeals to all Kuki underground groups to shun violence henceforth.
