IMPHAL, July 2: Local’s of Koirou including womenfolk staged a sit in protest against a bomb attack at the courtyard at the residence of Chairman of Board of Director Imphal Urban Co –operative Bank Limited at around 10.30 pm of July 1 under Singjamei police station Imphal west at Koirou Lai Shumang Community Hall today
Speaking to media persons on the sideline of the sit in protest, N Sundari member of the Koirou Manmang Leikai Nupi Chowkhat Thourang Lup said that the locals condemn the bomb blast at the residence of Thokchom Dilipkumar (58), son of late Nipamacha of Koirou Mamang laikai thongju Part (ii) who is a Chairman of Board of Director Imphal Urban Co –operative bank Limited.
She further sought clarification from all those responsible for the attack at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons, N Lata Devi wife of Dilip said that the family has not received any kind of treat or any monetary demands from any underground organisations. She further condemned the blast at her residence
It may be mention that the blast occurred yesterday night at around 10.30 in the courtyard of the Dilip under Singjamei police station Imphal west but no one was injured in a blast except some damage on the residential gate and a wall of the house.
