Sangai ( Brow Antlered Deer – Panolia Eldi Eldi ) is found nowhere on earth but only in Manipur. It is surviving in its natural habitat at Keibul Lamjao National Park which has been declared a National Park in 1977 covering an area of 40 sq.km. The park lies submerged underwater covered entirely on the surface by a floating entangle of mass of vegetation like grass, shrubs and earth called “Phumdi”
