LAMKA, July 31: On the eve of the Council Day 2013, the Chairman ADC, CCpur Langkhanpau Guite has called on the media persons in CCpur at his office in Tuibuang where he expressed his best wishes to all the people of Ccpur and highlighted the plan and activities of the ADCC.
The Chairman said that on the 40th anniversary of the District Council, the ADCC has made elaborate arrangement to perform social work; grouping the volunteers and the members into three areas with the first area covering Tuibuang and Zenhang Lamka bazaar, the second covering New Bazar and Damkam Bazar and the third covering ADCC campus which will be headed by the local MDCs.
The exercise will start at 6:00 am in the morning and is planned to cover the whole town.
“All the people who are conscious of cleanliness and its importance are requested to join and participate”, Guite added.
The Chairman further said that for the good of the public, the ADCC had requested and petitioned the Prime Minister of India, President of India and Chief Minister of Manipur for quite a number of times on issued including expansion of road in Churachandpur, improvement of law and order situation, and to expedite political talk with KNO/UPF by the Government of India are also some of the activities of ADCC.
Office for Chairman of ADC and CEO of ADCC are being built/ constructed at present and four tipper trucks manned by 25 sanitary workers are also some of the activities.
Town planning being one of the most important focuses of ADC, the Chairman said that many users are misusing the garbage bin and from now on anyone who misuse the garbage bin will be liable for prosecution even to the extent of cancelling their trade licence.
In case the offender is a trader, fitting punishment will be given to anyone who misuse public sanitary equipments, he said.
On the occasion, the Chairman also expressed his appreciation to many organizations particularly, the Hmar Veng and Bijang women who had taken steps to clean their locality from anti-social elements.
