IMPHAL, August 24: Along with extending warm wishes to PC Lumkunga on his appointment as the new Chief Secretary of the State, representatives of Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Govt Employees Organisation (AMGEO) has apprised the Chief Secretary on various pertaining demands of employees in a meeting held today at the chamber of the Chief Secretary, informed a press release issued by L Kuber Meetei, asst secy publicity, JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO.
The release said the representatives apprised the Chief Secretary on the pending demands of employees made by the council earlier to the government where the Chief Secretary had given assurance that he would discuss the matter deeply once the Addl Chief Secretary who is now out of station returned back and if needed he would meet with the Chief Minister and would do whatever he can.
The Chief Secretary had also assured that he would try to avail 90 percent if not 100 percent of the demands made by the employees in accordance with the MoU signed between the JAC and government, it said.
He also assured that he would look into the demand of making employees under in-charge basis in various departments as regular basis. For his words, the JAC lauded the chief secretary, it added.
