CSOs should be united, says Panti Golmei

    IMPHAL, August 28: The 15th foundation day of the United People’s Front (UPF) was observed today at Manipur Press Club. The function was attended by Rongmei Lu Phuam (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) president Panti Golmei, United People’s Front Manipur president BM Yaima Shah and All Manipur Working Journalist Union (AMWJU) president Wangkhemcha Shyamjai as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

    Speaking at the function, Panti Golmei said that various civil society organizations in the state need to work collectively to face any kind of issue in the state.

    She further said that the justice was delivered in the U-Morok rape incident due to the support from various CSO’s and Ema’s of the state.

    She also emphasized the need to safeguard the territorial integrity of the state.

    On the dispute arising out of the border fencing issue along the Indo Myanmar border, she said all the CSO’s and Ema’s of the state need to stand together as one.

    She called the attention of every individual in the state in regard to the deplorable road condition of National Highway 37 to pressurize the government for better road connectivity.
