IMPHAL, August 7: The Child Welfare Ashram has today called press conference at the Manipur Cycle Club, Jupiter Yambem Centre, Paona International Market announcing its support for the Jiribam girl S Bidyalakshmi Leima who will be cycling around the North Eastern states carrying the message to stop violence against women starting from August 21.
17 year old girl, Sougaijam Bidyalaxshmi from Lakhipur, Jiribam sub-division will be cycling over 82 districts of the North East states of the country carrying the message of, “Stop violence against women”.
The cycle tour will be flag off on August 21 from Imphal and conclude at Jiribam after passing through Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram.
