`Educated mind produces educated society`

KANGPOKPI, August 24: The Kuki Students’ Organisation Sadar Hills organized fresher’s meet cum felicitation programme today at Taphou Kuki Village especially for the Kuki students studying in Don Bosco College, Maram in collaboration with the EIMI Students’ Fellowship under the theme “Unity in Diversity”.

The function was attended by H Guite, member, ADC Kangpokpi as chief guest on behalf of Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Kangpokpi.

Dr T Gangte, Principal, Presidency College, Motbung and Lenkhomang Chongloi, member, ADC Kangpokpi and chief of Taphou Kuki Village were the guests of honour and chief host respectively.

Representatives of Zeliangrong, Poumai and Tangkhul Students’ Fellowship, Maram and Mao Students’ Union, Maram attended the function.

Altogether 35 fresher’s of Class XI and 1st Semester students introduced themselves with different aim and objective in life.

Mementos were awarded to students who held ranks in the recently declared Manipur University Examination 2013.

Guest of Honour of the function Dr. T. Gangte, Principal Presidency College Motbung appreciated the organizing Committee and encouraged the fresher’s to struggle hard to achieve good and worthy education during their college life stating that “Education without objective and discipline is totally worthless”.

She further pointed out that, 21st century youths/students are of better fresh mind and if they learn with real determination they can easily excel and achieved their objective.

While terming that “Educated Mind produce Educated Society”, Dr. T. Gangte encourage the Freshers as well as all the students gathering in the function to get good and worthy education.
