FEGOCTA denounce news report on biometric attendance, adopt resolutions

    IMPHAL, August 25: An Emergency Executive Meeting of Federation of Government College Teachers’ Associations, Manipur (FEGOCTA) chaired by its president L Randhoni Devi held at Imphal College this morning around 11 am in connection with a news report on biometric attendance published in a local daily newspaper recently along with discussing the issues of biometric and misc has resolved certain resolutions said a press release of the association.

    The meeting resolved to stop the biometric reporting from August 26 in all the government colleges due to defective system which has defamed the teaching profession, to conduct open discussion on ‘’Higher Education and Biometrics: Problems and Prospects’’ on August 28 at Imphal College at 10 am, to inform and appraise AMWJU about the malicious report published in the daily newspaper, to endorse the resolution of Imphal College Teachers Association of suing defamation charge of Rs 5 crores against the daily newspaper for publishing the malicious and defamatory news item, it added.
