IMPHAL, Aug 25: The All Manipur Students’ Union will be organizing the 48th Hunger Marchers’ Day on August 27, 2013 in remembrance of the students’ movement against the artificial scarcity of food items in the year 1965, said a statement of the student body.
The formal function of the Hunger Marches’ Day will be held at the Students’ Memorial Column, Singjamei Pishum Ching followed by a rally leading to Multipurpose Hall of the DM College of Sciences, Imphal, it said.
