IMPHAL, August 4: In connection with the ‘’World Indigenous Day’’, the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System, Students’ Wing will organise a cycle rally on August 9 and appealed the students community to participate in the rally towards the cause of the indigenous people of the society and to make the occasion successful, conveyed a press release issued by Angouton Khuman, media-coordinator of JCILPS.
The release said many indigenous people in the world are now on the verge of extinction due to the rampant influx of immigrants in its respective area adding one cannot sit idle doing nothing at such juncture.
While maintaining that the Inner Line permit (ILP) has not able to implement in the State due to the insincerity shown by the government, the committee said ILP is much needed to save the indigenous people of the State.
It is everyone responsibility to stand up and extend help to endorse the ILP in the State. For the indigenous people of the State and to mark the ‘’World Indigenous Day’’, the cycle rally is to be held. Details about the rally from the office of AMSU, DESAM, KSA, SUK, AIMS, AMMSO, JCILP, it added.
