IMPHAL, August 6: The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System has today said in a press release that the World Indigenous Day will be observed on August 9, 2013 at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound at 11:00 am.
The press release mentioned a UN report saying that there are 370 millions indigenous people all over the world and further said that indigenous people had insisted to UN for the Right of the Indigenous People since 1969, it said.
