KCP (MC) observes 6th Raising Day

    IMPHAL, August 4: Proscribed outfit, KCP (MC) has today said in a press release that the outfit observed its 6th Raising Day anniversary organized by its Central Security Council with polit bureau Col Khoirangba as the presiding comrade.

    The statement has said that Manipur had a proper rule under a written constitution “Loiyumba Shinyen” based on codes and convention under King Loiyumba in 1110 AD.

    The statement further stated that the treatise between 25 year old King Kiyamba and 75 year old Pong king Tsawba Khekhomba (Shan state of Upper Burma), Anglo-Manipur Friendship Treaty of 1762, Anglo-Manipuri Defense Protocol of 1763, Treaty of Yandaboo, 1826 all indicates to the existence of an independent kingdom.

    However, the seven year devastation of 1819-1826 was the first dark age of the land and the 1891 defeat at the hands of the British is the second and the Merger Agreement signed in 1949 is the third, it said.
