IMPHAL, August 28: The Sustainable Development Centre, Thamnapokpi today said in a press release that three unknown miscreants with face masks made a life attempt on an 11 year old boy by attempting to suffocate the boy.
The statement claimed that the boy is a student of class V at Little Bird School, Moirang. The incident had occurred on August 26, 2013 at about 4 pm, while the boy was one his way to a tuition centre at Moirang Khunou Nganuleima Lairembi of Moirang police station, it said.
The three assailants wearing masks on their face and equipped with knife knocked the cycling boy down and tried to kill him by suffocating him, it alleged.
The right hand of the boy was broken by the trio. As the incident took place in broad day light, the three assailants left the place and the boy reached his tuition centre by all means and informed his parents and went to hospital for necessary medication, it said.
The Sustainable Development Centre, Thamnapokpi condemned the incident in the release and demanded for police action. It is further continued in the press release that a meeting will be held in this regard on August 29 at 1 pm at Hougrampat Community Hall.
