IMPHAL, August 20: Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today said that the renewable energy equipments should be protected and preserved for longer utility while stating that MANIREDA should also procure the renewable energy equipment from reliable companies having proper warranty services.
The CM made the statement during the observance of the Renewable Energy Day which was observed on the birth day of late prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi, at the auditorium of Manipur Film Development Corporation, Palace Gate.
Meanwhile, the sadbhavana diwas was observed on the 69th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi at the Secretariat South Block.
The Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said in the function that the sadbhavana diwas has been observed every year in India so as to strengthen the unity of the country which has different religions, different cultures and many different communities on August 20 in honour of the birth day of the late Rajiv Gandhi.
During the function, Deputy Chief Minster Gaikhangam presided over the function and he mentioned in the function of the important landmarks which were undertaken during the leadership of Rajiv Gandhi.
Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar Singh, AK Mirabai, Parliamentary Secretary Vingjagin Valte, Chief Secretary, DGP and other civil and police officials also participated.
