IMPHAL, Aug 6: A prize distribution ceremony of meritorious and successful students of HSLC examination, 2013 was held on the annual School Day function of Trinity Public School, Mongsangei in Imphal West district today.
The prize distribution and annual school day function was graced by W Rajen Singh, Director, DIPR, Wangkhemcha Shamjai, president AMWJU and Dr Ch Shilaramani, HOD (Eng), DM College of Arts as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
The main objective of the function was to encourage the students who brought laurels to the school on their achievements in the HLSC examination, 2013.
Speaking on the occasion, Director, DIPR W Rajen Singh encouraged the students on their achievements and also to become a better person in the society by participating in extra-curricular activities as it would help in building better personality. He further added that focusing only on studies cannot achieve greatness.
Dr Ch Shilaramani while speaking on the occasion expressed her views and opinions to the students about her belief in them and the present inter-disciplinary movement in education system.
Principal of Trinity Public School recommended the students to participate in extra-curricular activities and urged the parents to avoid the present trend of one-way education which confines the students only to studies and neglect their talents.
