IMPHAL, Aug 5: The Governor of Manipur has ordered the re-allocation of works/transfer and posting of some IAS/MCS officers with immediate effect and until further orders in public interest, said a press release issued by Shyam Lal Poonia, Under Secretary (DP), Government of Manipur.
Accordingly, Ramnganing Muivah IAS (MT:85), Principal Secretary (Works/Relief & Disaster Management) has been posted as Principal Secretary (Works); Dr Suhel Akhtar IAS (MT:86), Principal Secretary (Health & Family Welfare) as Principal Secretary (Health & Family Welfare/Relief & Disaster Management); Lrtkhogin Haokip, IAS (MT:88), Commissioner (IPR/Transport) as Commissioner (IPR); M Lakhsmikumar Singh, IAS (MT:2000), Director (Inst Finance) and MD, MSCB as Special Secretary (Transport); Sudhan R, IAS (MT:06), Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul as Joint Secretary (Power), Director (Vigilance) and PD/MACS in addition; Shailesh Kumar Chourasia, IAS (MT:07), Joint Secretary (Home/Director of Vigilance & PD/MACS in addition as Deputy Commisioner, Ukhrul and Dr Harmit Singh Pahuja, MCS, Deputy Secretary (Edn-S) as Director (Instt Finance), MD/MSCB and Deputy Secretary (Edn-S) in addition.
PREPAK (Pro) claims bomb attack
IMPHAL, Aug 5: The proscribed outfit PREPAK (Pro) has in a press statement signed by its senior publicity officer Bobby Mangang claimed that a special team of the outfit’s Sajik Task Force (STF) carried out a bomb attack at the patrolling army of 9 Dogra Regiment at Kheljing at around 8:45 am on August 4. The outfit in its statement maintained that three personnel of 9 Dogra Regiment, Kheljang post were critically injured in the attack.
Arrested Nongraba is deserter says UNLF
IMPHAL, Aug 5: The proscribed UNLF has in a press statement signed by its publicity officer M Shak Hen said that Asem Amarjit alias Nongraba (29), son of Khondojao, of Awang Jiri is a deserter and has no further connection with the outfit or its armed wing, MPA.
According to a release of IGAR (S) PRO, he was reportedly apprehended by 18 Sikh Regiment during an operation from Awang Jiri.
However, the outfit in its press statement said that Nongraba deserted his Unit 293 of MPA in 2011 and he was not a lieutenant but only a lance corporal when he deserted the Unit.
He also did not take any arms or ammunition when he ran away from the Unit, it said while adding that the arms seized from him does not belong to UNLF.
