Students found chewing tobacco inside college says SUK

    IMPHAL, August 24: The Students’ Union of Kangleipak, SUK called a press meet alleging certain anomalies in the running of the Biramangol College, Sawombung.

    Speaking to media person, president of the student body Jayenta Kumar said that a team of the student body had conducted an inspection tour of Biramangol College, Sawombung.

    He said the school was attended by only vice principal, W Ebengu and 10 other teachers and that there were no classes in progress.

    Students were found chewing tobacco in the classrooms, he said before further alleging anomalies in the construction work taken up in the college including a swimming pool, gymnasium and girls’ hostel.

    The student body further appealed to the govt to check the matter at the earliest.
