Students` Union against teacher`s transfers

KANGPOKPI, August 6: The Students’ Union Presidency College Motbung today reacted strongly against the transfer of some of the college’s teaching staffs amidst the ongoing normal classes and demand the concerned authority to revokes its transfer order immediately.

The Students’ Union PCM gen secy Nemneithem while speaking to this correspondent here today said that, while the students’ union is taking initiatives to improve the students attendance as well as the education system in the college, the state govt.is playing a spoil-sport among the students by transferring some of the college teaching staffs while normal classes is in full swing.

She also said that, such transferring of teaching staffs affects the students in their class attendance as well as in their studies.

While showing concern about the college students, the Students Union PCM demanded the concerned authority and the state govt. to revoke its transfer orders immediately.

“If the transfer order is not revoke at the earliest the Students’ Union PCM will closed down the college until its demand is met with”, said the Students’ Union secretary Nemneithem Kipgen while adding that it will be followed by different forms of intense agitation if the govt remain a mute spectator.

She also said that, earlier on July 29 last the Students’ Union had submitted a request for ban of transfer of teaching staffs to the Minister Education.

The students’ union further appealed the state govt and the concerned authority not to compel the student body to take up further intense agitation and warn that if such things happen, the govt will bear all responsibility.
