IMPHAL, August 22: The All Tribal Chiefs and Public Grievances Forum, Chandel today said in a press release reacting to the order No. 27/42/LNDC (TBL)/2011/660, dated Thoubal, July 20, 2013 issued by the DC/Collector, Land Acquisition, Thoubal District, the All Tribal Chiefs & Public Grievances Forum, Chandel held a meeting on the August 20, 2013 at the Hall of Gunpi Area Chiefs` Association, Chandel District.
The meeting was attended by 206 members including chiefs, ADC members & social workers of the district.
The members condemned and rejected the aforesaid order of allegedly claiming village No 91- Sugnu and 93- Toupokpi to be within Thoubal district, said the release.
The meeting accused the DC/Collector, Land Acquisition, Thoubal district for not intimating the complainants for hearing and discussion on the matter as per the order, it said.
Henceforth, the members claimed the aforesaid order to be void and baseless and therefore, the members cannot accept the order. The Forum also affirms to stand unitedly on the matter till it is finalized.
