KANGPOKPI, August 25: Thadou Students` Association Sadar Hills today lauded Miss Lina Lamneilhing Chongloi, who has won titles in various beauty pageants locally and nationally.
Daughter of Lunkhopao Chongloi and Phallhing Chongloi, cultivators by occupation from Haijang village, 21 year old Lamneilhing Chongloi fondly addressed by her local neighbours as Lina won the 4th Miss India North East 2013 at ITA Machkhuwa Hall, Guwahati on July 28, 2013 after she was crowned Miss Bharat 2013 at Hotel Ronak Plaza, Bhopal on June 24, 2013, noted TSA-SH President SL Seipu.
SL Seipu also said that the Lina’s achievements personified the beauty and good brain as well as the spirit of the true Kuki that is the true victory the entire nation stood witness today and found appreciation for the ethics, values and beauty of the Kukis in particular and the people of Manipur in general.
After winning the Miss Bharat 2013 title, Lina L. Chongloi has been offered a role in Hindi fimls “Blood Satyagraha” and “Mushkil Hain Rahen Pyar Ki” as well as an opportunity to participate at the “Glory of Universe”, an international beauty pageant.
