IMPHAL, August 24: A combined team of Thoubal CDO and 27 AR arrested one cadre of UNLF identified as Huirem Inaocha Singh (23), alias Heithoiba son of H Bihari Singh of Keirak Mamang Leikai during search operation conducted in and around Keirak village this morning around 7:15, said a press release by Superintendent of Police, Thoubal district.
The team recovered one 7.65 pistol with two live rounds of 7.65 ammunition from the arrested cadre.
On questioning, the cadre revealed that he was earlier a cadre of PREPAK and later joined UNLF. He was given his army No 1111 of 17th batch and had trained at Henglep, Churachandpur, it stated.
