IMPHAL, August 14: The proscribed UNLF has in a press statement signed by its publicity officer M Shak hen said that the news report carried by local dailies regarding the arrest of two persons from Nungoo on August 11 by a combined team of 27 Assam Rifles and Thoubal police is another act of security offences tormenting families.
The statement further said that the two arrested persons, Laishram Kishan (27), and Laishram Ningol Ningthoujam Ongbi Sana, daughter of Kunjo, of Nungoo Awang Leikai are siblings. They are only family members of a UNLF/MPA cadre and have no connection with the party, it maintained.
