IMPHAL, Sept 26: A two-day long conference of All Manipur Democratic Women Association (AMDWA), Manipur State Committee at Youth Hostel, Khuman Lampak concluded yesterday. An eight page political and organizational report was released during the concluding day.
The conference also passed resolutions on certain areas such as crimes against women and demands for strict actions against perpetrators of such crimes, local people to be included in NGNREGS scheme implementation; work pay to be given in time and seven kg of rice to be provided to every person under the Food Security Act.
Along with electing new office bearers of a 23 member committee, a nine member state secretariat committee was also constituted during the conference.
