MOREH, September 18: 24 AR Arjun Coy has seized 23 kg of Pangolin shells worth Rs five lakh in the international market brought in a Maruti Van while trying to smuggle it into the border town Moreh at Khudengthabi check post this morning around 9.30.
The van bearing registration no NL OIC 5720 belongs to one Kamithang Zou (44), son of Dongjalam of Churachandpur Rengkhai village. He was accompanied by his wife Anjalla Zou when the AR arrested him and they were coming from Churachandpur towards Moreh in the said vehicle.
24 AR would be handing over the seized Pangolin shells to the concerned department.
