IMPHAL, September 18: The Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) has claimed in a press statement that a team of the general headquarters PLA had attacked a camp of the 24th Assam Rifles near Saibol village in Chandel district on September 17.
While returning from the attack site, the team again met a team of security forces resulting in a fierce gun fight, the statement claimed adding that the RFP team had inflicted serious casualty on the security forces.
Meanwhile, the PRO IGAR (S) in a statement has denied the incident claimed by the RPF and the casualties mentioned.
