IMPHAL, September 10: The closing function of the 27th Foundation Day of the Pourabi Yaipha Naharol Kanglup cum Social Service Camp, 2013 was held today at PYNK Campus, Pourabi.
Imphal East Adhyaksha K Tombi attended the function as the chief guest, DIG police S Manglemjao as president along with Khundrakpam Zilla Parishad member TH Angoubi and Waiton Gram Panchayat member K Kalachan as guests of honour.
Applauding the club for its efforts for the betterment of the society, the chief guest said in the present situation in the state, local clubs play an important role in the development process.
He further lauded the club for organizing such activities like social service which not only cleanse the surrounding area, but also help divert the youth from straying towards drugs by keeping them busy.
