DGP effects changes in posting of officers, personnel of PHQ

    IMPHAL, September 18: In his first action as the new Manipur Director General of Police after taking charge from Y Joykumar who retired from service on superannuation last month, DGP MK Das has recently actuated the transfer and reshuffling of posts of 22 personnel including two Assistant COmmandants and one MPS officer of the Manipur Police Department attached with the Manipur Police Headquarter.

    Sources informed that personnel newly attached to and those detached from after being newly attached to the PHQ included two Assistant Commandants, one MPS officer, seven Jemadars, two Havildars, three Head Constables, five Riflemen and two Constables.

    The personnel and officers were from the Recruitment Cell, Establishment Section, Housing Section, Vehicles Section and some other important section of the PHQ, the source informed.

    It is also learnt that the newly transferred personnel also include some personnel who were earlier utilized at the Police Petrol Pump located inside the 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles, Imphal campus.

    The official order for the changes was issued by the DGP Manipur on September 13, the reports stated.
