IMPHAL, September 7: Rajesh Agarwal, Commissioner (Power/Agriculture/Science & Tech.), Govt of Manipur today inaugurated a four week long programme on production of commodity plastics using injection moulding techniques at CIPET, Industrial Estate, Takyelpat Imphal, said in a press release.
V Tualthang, Addl Director, Directorate of Commerce & Industries; Uttamchand Laishram, Director, Directorate of Science & Technology (DST) and VS Gupta, Deputy General Manager, NABARD and other govt officials were also present during the function, it said.
CIPET Imphal led by Chief Manager (P) and Project Officer and the entire team of CIPET Imphal extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished dignitaries and other invitees.
During the key note address given by the Chief Manager (P), the importance of plastics as a substitute for metal and materials has been highlighted. A brief presentation about the profile of successful entrepreneurs who have undergone similar training from the centre was also made in the function, it said.
The chief guest of the function, Rajesh Agarwal, Commissioner (Power/Agriculture/Science & Technology) in his inaugural speech emphasized the need of entrepreneurship as a career option for many young people of the state where people are only looking for govt. jobs.
He also said that people who are willing to serve the public may enter the govt service, it said.
He further said the for those who are ambitious and capable of risk taking may take up entrepreneurship as a full time profession as there is no limit for an entrepreneur to grow, it said.
