IMPHAL, Sept 8: The All Manipur Newspaper Sales’ and Distributors’ Association has today said in a press statement informing its members and general public that the distribution of newspapers will be resumed from September 9, 2013.
The decision to resume their duty was decided during an emergency meeting on September 7, 2013 following appeals from civil society organisations.
Hawkers had stopped distribution of newspapers in the entire state since August 31 last following threats from an insurgent group in relation with the non-publication of its press release by the editors of media houses.
